How can we make wifi hotspot on our laptop without using any software?
we can create wifi hotspot from our computer,laptop using virtual access point of our device.There are many software available in internet to convert our laptop into router. Some most use software are connectify-me, mHotspot etc. But we don't need any software to create hotspot. As we know ,router is expensive,most people,student can't afford this for their normal purpose so we can use our existing devices as router.As i already said,there are many software but use of numerous software in our device reduces our device performance.so we can optimize our device using direct command .
To convert your laptop into router (or to make wifi hotspot) follow the steps below:
1.first open elevated command prompt(command prompt admin).
2.type "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode= allow ssid=hotspotname1 key=password" hit enter.This sets your hotspot name to hotspotname1(you can rename as you like),replace password in above command by your password which is your wifi password.
3.type "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" hit enter.This starts your wifi hotspot.
4.type "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork" hit enter.This stops your wifi hotspot.
5.now goto 'network and sharing center' by searching on search bar or by right clicking in internet tray icon of right of taskbar.
6.goto 'change adapter setting' and left click on any network that you want to make wifi hotspot, now goto properties.
7.select sharing tab and click on 'allow other network user to connect through this computer's internet connection' and select hotspot that you make earlier in 'home networking connection:' which is like 'local area connection*1'. Note:dont click on other option below it.
8.Click ok and enjoy your wifi through your laptop.
